At GYL, we are deeply rooted in the communities we serve and are passionate about giving back and making a real difference.

As part of the partnership with #MorePerfect (formerly the Partnership for American Democracy), GYL’s CEO Gerald Goldberg and his wife, along with dear friends and organizations like the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford (“JCF”), are providing the lion’s share of the funding for the strategic plan to expand public service in our country. Together, commitments to service will strengthen our community and our democracy.

Additionally, our CEO is collaborating with More Perfect leader Alan Khazei, JCF, and Hartford Foundation leaders to translate the national plan into local action in CT, including active engagement with the Governor’s Office. As part of this effort, they are planning an early 2024 gathering of leaders to drive progress in the Nutmeg State.
