“Last August, I received a phone call from an unknown number. The unfamiliar voice on the other end of the line calmly introduced himself as a member of the Gift of Life Marrow Registry.  He explained that I had been identified as a possible donor match for a 23-year-old leukemia patient.

After further testing, it was confirmed that I was an identical tissue match. I was informed that the stem cells harvested from my blood would help the recipient of those cells reestablish her immune system and support her fight against cancer. To date, I have donated a round of stem cells and T cells, and I feel humbled to have been able to participate in such an incredibly powerful experience.”
