The Connecticut Foodshare strives to provide assistance to individuals and families to help alleviate hunger throughout the state. At GYL, we believe in community service and we strongly support the organization’s mission, so on January 28th, GYL team members rolled up their sleeves and pitched in at the Foodshare in Bloomfield.
Jean Paul Atallah, Gerry Goldberg, Rachel Gelb, Kelly Davis, Sevane Khatchadourian, Jennifer Grosberg, Nicole Bailey, Kim Sprague, Raphael Feigenbaum, and Ana Peguero sorted pre-packaged food items for delivery and inspected produce to ensure individuals and families in need get fresh fruits and vegetables.
Together, the group sorted, inspected and packed packaged foods and produce to be delivered to those facing hunger and food insecurity. We are immensely proud of our team for taking the time to pitch in and support a worthy cause! To learn more about Connecticut Foodshare and how you can help, visit www.ctfoodshare.org.
