GYL Volunteers with Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County

October 27, 2023

Earlier this month, GYL had the opportunity to volunteer with Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County to help make a difference in one of our nearby school districts. Notably, team members Joshua Goldberg and Steven Ulbrich spent the day at K. T. Murphy Elementary School in Stamford, CT, with one of the school’s third grade classrooms co-facilitating a Junior Achievement in A Day (JAIAD) workshop.

This program’s curriculum is centered around important concepts such as financial literacy and grade-level social studies learning objectives. More specifically, the program aims to teach young students about money management skills and the importance of economic exchange within a city.

GYL supports the work and mission of Junior Achievement and their efforts to instill these life skills in students at the elementary level, setting them up for financial success in their futures by helping them to connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom. Thanks Josh and Steve for taking part in this wonderful program for kids!
