Foodshare is the largest anti-hunger organization in the Greater Hartford area. They connect surplus food to families who struggle with hunger through a network of more than 260 food pantries, meal programs, and Mobile Foodshare sites[1].  On May 31^st, GYL team members got together to help at the Food Share in Bloomfield CT.

Ana Peguero, Sevane Khatchadourian, Matthew Pranaitis, Kimberly Sprague, Jean Paul Atallah, Elliot Koenigsberg, Jacob Cohen, and Raphael Feigenbaum sorted through 2870 pounds of produce.

They spent their time sorting through produce to make sure that it was still fresh so it could be redistributed for those who need it. We are so grateful to our team for helping such a worthy cause.  For more information on how you can help, visit http://site.foodshare.org
