On Thursday, March 21st, our Parsippany team bundled up in GYL gear to sort groceries and load cars in preparation for community food distribution to those in need with Morristown, NJ’s Table of Hope program. A special thanks to our team members Deborah Molan, Michael Green, Vincent Marsden, Bernice Ching, and Matthew Pranaitis, for rolling up your sleeves and volunteering your time for a great cause!
Table of Hope is a mobile food pantry serving free meals to the Morris County community and also distributes food across the country. Between the program’s mobile food pantries to its community soup kitchen, Table of Hope’s efforts make a difference by helping to combat food insecurities far and wide, and their work continues to lift the spirits of those in need of a warm and accessible meal.
Table of Hope offers volunteer shifts on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays that involve loading / unloading food deliveries ranging from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm, and their Morristown Food Pantry welcomes volunteers on Thursdays from 11:30 am – 3:00 pm to sort groceries, load cars and help with clean-up. The program also has many volunteer openings to help serve to-go dinners on a weekly basis. If you’re interested in getting involved, check the volunteer site for available openings: https://www.springstreetcdc.org/volunteer
